Spiccato is a technique used when playing string instruments such as a violin, where the bow bounces lightly upon the string. Because the bow comes off the string quickly, the string continues to vibrate resulting in a series of short distinct notes that tail off.  Spiccato is often used in music with quicker tempos. We've blended our Colombian, Ethiopian and Honduran beans as an espresso blend to recreate the feeling of the spiccato bowing technique. The Silky Spiccato is a full bodied coffee with a slightly lingering aftertaste, leaving you wanting another sip in quick succession. For the month of December, get your Silky...

Refined Rimshot A rimshot is a drumming technique used to produce a sharper, brighter and more cutting sound by simultaneously hitting the rim and the head of the drum with the drumstick. Due to its temperate and tropical climates, Honduras produces coffees which are typically medium bodied, with well balanced acidity and often described as fragrant with notes of vanilla or hazelnut. August's featured roast is the Honduran Harmony and is a medium bodied coffee with...

Colombia is known for producing some of the world's finest coffees. Colombia grows 100% Arabica beans, and their geography is perfectly suited to produce the high quality coffee that we have become used to. Much of Colombia's coffee is grown on small farms at high altitude where farm workers pick the best cherries by hand, rather than using mechanical strip pickers. Colombian coffee is usually described as a well balanced coffee, with traces of chocolate and nutty flavours, some fruit, medium acidity and medium body. August has seen the introduction of our new packaging and label design. Our familiar single origin roasts...
